Here we are another Friday to offer you a new viewpoint from which to enjoy an altitude experience.

There are few terraces that can boast of having views such as those of the Sép7ima rooftop, the restaurant with terrace located on the seventh floor of Only You Atocha hotel.

1. Only You Atocha Hotel

In front of the Atocha Station, in a renovated 19th century building, you will find Only YOU Atocha hotel, which belongs to the Palladium Hotels Group hotel chain.

This hotel was inaugurated in November 2016, and is located on Paseo Infanta Isabel 13, very close to the Retiro park. ?

 

 

The hotel has 206 rooms, 192 double rooms and 14 suites in an industrial environment based on the New York style of the 50s and designed by the interior designer Lázaro Rosa Violán.

It has several spaces where gastronomy and music come together, such as “Trotamundos” Restaurant or “Mamá Framboise” patisserie, both located on the ground floor. 

 

Only You Atocha hotel have a big patio and the relaxarium, where jazz concerts take place from time to time. If you want to celebrate an event in this hotel don’t hesitate and ask them.

A wonderful hotel a few steps from the museum area, where you can find the Prado Museum, the Reina Sofía Museum and the Thyssen-Bornemitza Museum. ?

2. Sép7ima Rooftop

 

 

Let´s go to Sép7ima Rooftop!

 

 

On the seventh floor of the incredible Only You Atocha hotel, is Sép7ima rooftop, a restaurant with terrace that offers a buffet breakfast with themed trolleys.

Even if you don’t stay at the hotel, you can try their great breakfast every day. You don’t need to book it but I recommend you to get up early.

 

 

The breakfast hours are:

Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

 

 

Every Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. you can enjoy “The Usual Brunchers”, an awesome gastronomic experience in which you can enjoy a rooftop brunch. ?

 

 

This isn’t a typical brunch, since you can enjoy a great buffet with live cuisine as its chefs cook everything on the spot. Don’t miss the dessert cart! You will want to eat it all!

The price of this brunch per person is € 40, it’s a bit expensive but it is very worth it.

By the way, this is a very abundant brunch so I recommend you to go with hungry and don’t make late-night plans for that day. ? 

 

 

The Usual Brunchers event isn’t available during August because it’s very hot in Madrid at that time and the relaxation with which it is enjoyed in spring or autumn is not the same.

It’s very important to book for this brunch, you can do it directly from its website. Many people want to try it, and the capacity of Sep7ima Rooftop is limited. Have I already told you not to miss the candy stand? ?

 

 

Also, on Saturday nights in May, you can enjoy “NY Nigths”. This event consists in a New York-style themed dinner with live music and delicious dishes. ?

In addition, from June 1 to September 30, Sep7ima Rooftop is the perfect place to dine and enjoy the summer temperature of Madrid. So you can taste his new menu. I haven’t tried it yet, but I really want to. ?

 

 

Dinner hours are from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. every day.

3. Don´t miss the rooftop!

Here I show you my favorite part, the terrace!

Sép7ima rooftop is the only terrace from where you can see whole Atocha station.

 

 

Sep7ima Rooftop is a gorgeous elongated terrace decorated with a very good taste, following the industrial aesthetics of the New York of the 50s. You’ll be so comfortable that you’ll want to stay forever!

 

 

To start, as soon as you arrive to the terrace, on the left hand side it has an area with sofas where you can relax with a cocktail or a soft drink, It’s up to you. ?

 

 

On the right hand side the terrace continues with the table area. Here you can snack and drink one of the great signature cocktails that they have on their menu comfortably while enjoying perfect views.

If you can, try to be seated at one of the tables in the outside row to enjoy the sunrays and views of Atocha.

 

 

At the end of the terrace you will find a high counter that serves as a viewpoint. On this area you can sit on high stools and enjoy the incredible views of Atocha station, Carlos V Square with Reina Sofía Museum and its surroundings. ? 

 

 

From this point you can take the best sunset photos in Sep7ima rooftop. So get the camera ready! ?
